NW Hants URGENT plea for help - 4th June
North West Hampshire RAYNET VERY URGENTLY needs additional operators for the Clarendon Way Walk from Salisbury Cathedral to Winchester Cathedral (route reversed compared to previous years), in aid of the Naomi House Children's Hospice, to be held on Sunday 4 June.

This 25 mile plus event requires about 30 operators in total!

Please contact John, M1ENA, on 07990 972972, or by email at

UK Threat level at "Critical" - Controllers please note.
Following the increase in the UK threat level to "critical", RAYNET Controllers should, at any events where the public are present, liaise with the event organiser and other participating organisations to ensure that there are arrangements in place should any untoward incident occur and that everyone knows how to respond.

Another guidance document released
The National Training Team have released the second Guidance Document for new Group Controllers. "Guidance Document - BPSS" can be found on the national website either in the National Training Section or in the Documents Section

Applications for 2018 Train the Trainers dates welcome
New dates are being added to Train the Trainer Workshops for 2018 - an application pack and application form can be downloaded from the National Training Section on the website

There are still places available for the next workshop that is taking place on 24 & 25 June in Manchester, as this is the only workshop in 2017 based in the Northern area - it is advisable for Group Training Officers to attend this course where possible, to either save waiting for the next workshop to be based in the North or travelling to another part of the country.

Please email if you have any queries.

RAYNET-UK Risk Management forms available
The new RAYNET-UK Risk Management Forms (online & manual) have been uploaded on to the website and can be found in the Documents Section or in the Health & Safety Section A Guidance Document to completing these forms is currently being produced and will be uploaded on to the website alongside the forms and also in the National Training Section once complete.
