Hi Marin.
1. No. The DMR signal may not be heard due to the CTCSS in the repeater. Analogue only repeaters require modifications to operate as a DMR repeater. Quite a few 70cm repeaters are done this way. The best way to test is on a current analogue repeater, just to prove it.
2. SMS messages. I assume you mean mobile SMS from a phone. This involves yet another interface to function. Thus for amateur use a fairly expensive option.

Hello Martin,

A DMR signal will not pass through a normal analogue repeater and be re-constitutable.  You will not not hear the pulsing cachophony on the output either, unless someone else has opened the repeater up first.
The "colour" on a DMR repeater or radio is the DMR equivalent to CTCSS.  The message system depends on the radios/software etc and is not something that I am knowledgeable on.

Hope that helps.

Best wishes,

Ian.
